Okay so here's the low down on N.Y.C-based producer Gryffin.
Over the last 12 months he's built up an extraordinary following off the back of just a handful of stellar remixes. This remix alone has clocked over 15 million streams on Soundcloud.
Gryffin has a knack for two things.. a) whipping up his huge audience into a frenzy of anticipation for this work and b) making minimal but melodic house music. He calls it 'cloud house'. Nice!
This track "Heading Home" features Australian vocalist Josef Salvat. Apparently this track was months in the making and it's the first time we're seeing Gryffin's original work.
Gryffin seems quick to want to establish himself as an original artist outright. This excellent debut comes with the promise of more original work to come.
