I stumbled upon this ridiculously great track by New Zealand's Groeni the other day, and immediately fell in love with it. Alexander Green is the creative mind behind the project, and with the help of friends Mike Isaacs and James Paul, Groeni's third EP was created.
Hazy electronic sounds seem to be this Project Mooncircle signed act's speciality, and the Hinde EP from whence "Hedre" comes offers a impressive supply of these gems.
My favorite track from the EP, "Hedre," is an atmospheric offering littered with layered ambience, club style beats, and plaintive vocal melodies from Green that will transport you into a hallucinogenic state of musical euphoria, which wouldn't be out of place at 5am on a Sunday morning in Berghain, just sayin'.
There's also a trippy video to accompany the track, which you an view below. Be sure to support Groeni on SoundCloud and Facebook.
