Sydney's Ben Markos, aka GRMM, has returned with another new single, "Die Young" featuring Wild Eyed Boy. The summer-ready single shows off yet another side of the young producer's talents, and his penchant for unique collaborations.
With a lighter heart than the swingin' "Travolta Cool," and a deeper melody than hip hop-infused Kilter collab "Look At Me," "Die Young" is a smooth R&B-tinted blend of house and soul that's ready for balmy summer nights.
What I really like about GRMM's tunes is how they progress. Diverse as they may be, they're neither boring nor repetitive. The atmosphere builds and grows and changes -- the bass thickens, synths fill out the soundscape, and the track fleshes out into something seriously funky.
"Die Young" features on GRMM's upcoming six-track Die Young EP, and will also feature new collaborations with Erin Marshall, Yasmin, and Father Dude. The EP comes out on September 25 via new Sydney-based label Of Leisure.
