Why do we like this?

Two consecutive RAC remixes in the Song of the Day slot? I'm so, so sorry. I just can't help it (for reference, yesterday's was this ODESZA track).

Let's be honest, though: the two tracks, when compared side-by-side don't exactly sound alike, even when weighing RAC's influence. And that's to be expected: the originals of each happen to come from completely different genres.
