Electronic pop duo Grey have been making waves over the past 12 months with their eclectic dance productions. First coming to music fans' attention with 2016 hit "Starving" ( a collaboration with Zedd and Hailee Steinfeld), the two then dropped "I Miss You" earlier this year and are following up with the future bass hit "Crime."
Although the track was initially written with Linnea Södahl (who has collaborated with Zara Larsson), Grey enlisted the vocal talents of Swede sensation Skott. The result is a colorful production featuring acoustic guitar, booming bass and Skott's joyful vocals. Talking with Billboard Grey had this to say about the track:
"We had gone to Sweden to work with Linnea Södahl, who is also good friends with Skott. She showed us the topline for what ended up being 'Crime' and thought Skott would be perfect for it. When we met Skott, we vibed really well and decided to do the song together. It was exciting for us to work with her since we’ve had her on our radar for a bit and are huge fans of her work."
