Why do we like this?
In honor of Gibbz's debut EP, Who Gibbz a F#@$, off of Gramatik's Lowtemp label, both will be headlining the Girls & Boys at Webster Hall on Friday March 21. This will be the first time these electric-musical godsends perform together! For those that are not familiar, this tandem promises to display a range of electro pop, dubstep, and electro funk.
Fun fact: Gibbz was invented by producer/singer Mike Gibney. Gibbz's EP, which was released last week, is littered with electro funk and dance gems. The live instruments fused with his vocals will inject an undeniable feeling of happiness this Friday at Webster Hall. Gibbz's sexy high-pitch vocals can compete with the artist formerly known as Prince, which for youhipsters youngsters is amazing f-ing competition. Check out why my latter comment put Gibbz on a pedestal here.
Gibbz's headlining mate is no slouch. Gramatik is a producer for the people, who creates music to be accessed by the people for free. He considers it "freeing the music." Shit, I think some congress members need tickets to Girls & Boys this Friday at Webster Hall. Gramatik is the soul man and the groovy glue to this musical relationship. He'll be jamming his latest tunes off his album Age of Reason. His sonic craftsmanship has garnered several awards, including 3 Best Track 2012 Beatport Music awards.
To break-up this bromance, Lowtemp labelmates Exmag, Branx, Illumntr, and Orlando Napier will join the stage and contribute their own individual style and sounds at Webster Hall.
If you are in the New York City area on Friday and looking to dance the spring-night away purchase tickets and satisfy you desires.
