Gold Coast artist GOVS (Josiah Birrell) is no stranger to the pages of Indie Shuffle; I've take a steady interest in his music for a couple of years now. Initially releasing gorgeous dream folk tunes, he's taken on a more electronic style, as showcased on his most recent single, "Australian Summer."
Continuing this recent change in direction, he's just debuted his latest tune, "There Comes a Time." Featuring ghostly vocals from fellow Gold Coast native San Mei (Emily Hamilton), the result is dreamy, electronic-tinged music at its finest.
Birrell has operated cleverly on this track, with echoing sections of layered vocals sliding in and out of some of the more delicate production you'll come across. I also love the use of spoken word samples, which are becoming a bit of a calling card for this talented musician.
Another winner from GOVS here. Do your best not to get drawn into a daydream, especially if you're sitting at work!
