Why do we like this?

No stranger from the pages of Indie Shuffle, Gold Coast musician Josiah Birrell (GOVS) has been a busy lad recently. Aside from producing for a number of local artists and setting up his own label, he's currently putting the finishing touches on his debut album 6teenDRE’am.

After releasing the album's title track a month back, Birrell is ready to share a second single, with Indie Shuffle happy to give it a first spin.

"Baby We're Outside of Time" is a typically dreamy number, with GOVS forging his name on the back of some equally gorgeous releases in the past. The way he structures and layers his music is a huge strength for the young artist, and it comes as no surprise that he references Washed Out as a big influence on his music.

6teenDRE’am is due out on August 14 via Birrell's own label Yozlyn.
