Why do we like this?
Merry Christmas! As a special gift for us today, Gorillaz released a full album available for streaming on their website (unless you're a super special fan club member, then you can download it for free). The album is called The Fall and echoes the sounds and beats on Plastic Beach, except it was recorded completely on an iPad.
According to their website, they used some additional instruments like the korg vocoder, ukelele, omnichord, guitar, piano, and korg monotron. The songs were recorded between Montreal and Vancouver over 32 days while they toured North America this year. Except one song, the single "Bobby in Phoenix" -- this track was recorded in (where else?) Phoenix in October, and features vocals and guitar by (who else?) Bobby Womack.
