Goldmyth is a harpist, vocalist, and producer making all her own stuff. That's right, I said harpist.
The harp is a really unique instrument, especially the way she uses it, since it’s not often used in bedroom pop or any similar genre.
But the harp is my favorite part about this song. Whenever she plucks the strings, it makes everything sparkle. It just creates such an organically magical sound. The harp also mixes well with the guitar, making the classical instrument feel much more contemporary.
As I was whisked away by her harp skills, I also felt her fragile heart break from the lyrics. Especially the opening lines, “Don’t tell me it’s my fault / My mistake / My heavy heart cannot hold its weight.” I want to hold her and say sweet girl, when love doesn't work out, it's never your mistake.
