When there's a foreign object in the body, it works to expel it. Perhaps our minds follow suit when it comes to ideas that originate from that which is perceived to be external to it. This points to religious ideology or even societal ideology. For Australian artist, Golden Vessel, rejecting religious beliefs marked the starting point for the album, everythingeverydayeverything.
"sun+tide" off the album is about replacing prayer with simple everyday tasks (like doing the laundry). As someone who spent two years living abroad in sole persuit of religioes doctrine, retruning home to throw it all away in order to reconsider how it can fit into my life, this song, and the album as a whole, are meaningful. It's meaningful in a way that makes one who has undergone similar experiences feel less alone. And that's a beautiful thing to give to an audience.
