To say that New York City plays host to a lot of talented rappers would be an understatement. As a matter of fact, that would be putting it lightly in most U.S. cities. Let's be real; it's a saturated talent pool out there.
So, what makes someone stick out? To me it's an artist who stays true to themselves, and that's how I feel about Gliffics. His chill rap tune "We Take the Night" is a story we've heard before, but the homie from Brooklyn sounds like a natural as he flows over the smooth, spacey beat. The visuals, which show the details of a confident young cat heading out into a city night, are nicely done as well:
