Like the rest of the music-obsessed blogging world, we at Indie Shuffle have been closely following mysterious Brooklyn act Glass Gang. While information regarding the trio is still scarce, their fourth and final single for the year, "Awake," is here, finally accompanied by a clear image of the band. Sure, it doesn't really tell us much more about them, but at least we know what they look like now.
Recorded and mixed by Alexander Almgren and mastered by engineer Joe Lambert (Kanye West, Animal Collective), "Awake" continues Glass Gang's fondness for electronic-tinged indie goodness. What separates "Awake" from their previous efforts is a sense of urgency, with probing drum beats, swirling guitars, and stilted vocals coming together for another exceptional dose of Glass Gang's experimental indie sound.
