YES YES YES YES YES. The Oxford boys who immersed the world in creamy peanut butter vibes on their groundbreaking 2014 debut album Zaba are back, and damn are they bringing it.
"Life Itself," the first single off of Glass Animals' upcoming sophomore LP How To Be A Human Being, is a jangly, corkscrewing, groove explosion of a track. When the chorus hits I imagine the world around me crumbling until I'm swallowed by a fiery sinkhole where a massive jungle disco party with funky creatures and wild sounds is in full swing. It's euphoric.
Per Dave Bayley, their superhuman producer/singer hybrid, "Life Itself" is about a "guy who was born a bit strange, and struggles to become part of society. Because of that, he spends more time alone in his own head, getting stranger, and it becomes an awful cycle of doom."
Crazy, colorful, and amazingly inventive. Get pumped for this album.
