Glass Animals have dropped the latest single from their upcoming 17-track album,Dreamland. The album has been postponed to a release date of August 7th, the band citing their solidarity with current civil rights issues as the reason for the delay.
"Heat Waves" is yet another buttery smooth song from this exciting, young, indie-pop outfit. A delicate guitar riff rides atop thumping bass kicks, while singer, Dave Bayley, wistfully pines about a lost love. The band have added touches of vocal layering, an element they use in many songs to achieve their ethereal sound. This track is blissfully infectious; I'm sure it will be stuck in your head after a few listens.
The band offered an excerpt about the song on their Twitter page, saying "its about realizing you cant make everyone happy. and realizing it's ok to be defeated by something."
