We've been champions of singer-songwriter Gizmo Varillas after hearing his first single "Give A Little Love" over a year ago. Since then he's grown from strength to strength, dropping his underrated debut album El Dorado, appearing at the world-famous Montreal Jazz Festival and getting support from fellow troubadour George Ezra who added him to his Spotify playlist. To celebrate his continued success, Varillas has released "Hold On," the fifth single from his album.
Channeling Paul Simon, "Hold On" is an indie-folk tune with a touch of South America about it. The Spanish-born London-based Varillas croons he's got 'so much to give' over the Latin infused rhythms, making "Hold On" another quality release.
As with previous tracks, Varillas, wrote, produced and arranged "Hold On," giving an extra personal feel to his songs. Although he's still bubbling under the surface, Varillas is one of the most exciting songwriters around, and it won't be long before he's a household name.
