Why do we like this?
Any Giraffage fans in the house? The talented San Francisco artist is still turning heads with his dreamy, glitchy electro-pop. Specifically, Giraffage's Needs mixtape, which showcases the producer's penchant for blending sample-based pop with elements of hip-hop, trap, and experimental electronica.
In a homage of sorts to Giraffage, Santa Cruz producers Mist Glider and Aeropsia have remixed "Close 2 Me," one of Needs' standout tracks. Mist Glider and Aeropsia have collaborated before, turning out one of my favorite XXYYXX remixes of 2013 with their "About U" rework. So hearing two of my favorite Sleepy Beach producers come together again on a Giraffage remix is a treat worth sharing.
