The king of old school rap meets one of today's most groundbreaking DJs in this great mash-up by Andrew Gentry. It's as if RJD2 produced this track specifically with Biggie's rhymes bouncing around in the back of his head. And the flow couldn't be more beautiful -- a true testament to the flexibility of good hip hop.
It's not until about 1:30 that we experience the true power of this track. Biggie's infamous "Word to your mother, I'm dangerous, crazier than a bag of fucking angeldust" arrives perfectly in unison with the rising tension and horn explosion, then quickly leaves way for one of hip hop's most timeless choruses.
If all mash-ups were this good, there would be no war in the world.
