In 2009, Beirut released a double EP titled
March of the Zapotec/Holland. The first half featured a sampling of songs inspired by his recent trip to Oaxaca, Mexico. The second half, which includes the song "The Concubine," was influenced by the electronic sounds of his old band, Realpeople. The resulting collection of songs was pretty darn awesome.
Then about a year ago, The Hood Internet smooshed it together with Ghostface Killah. Yeah, that's right. One of the most badass gangsta rappers around. And you know what? It worked together perfectly.
