Clearly someone dragged Ghost Beach ass-backwards through the 80s, because this song absolutely reeks of the decade. Or maybe it's just guitarist Doc Mendelsohn's obsession for synthesizers...
"Moon Over Japan" is the band's latest single, and I must say that I've taken quite a liking to it right off the bat. Josh Ocean's falsetto vocals soar frictionlessly over a funky bass line and classic arpeggios, creating a modern love ballad that no doubt finds its roots buried in a decade long gone.
No word regarding the context of the release, but my best guess is that it's probably part of a new album? Either way, it's glorious.
