I'm just a big Geographer fan, what else can I say? I just love their light sound that always makes me feel like I'm floating on a cloud or in a movie montage.
The twinkling sound effects and slow crashing of cymbals create a romantic atmosphere, which is not how I typically describe rock of any sort.
“The Other Side” also has a nice build up that speeds up and slows back down again throughout the song, like a wave rising and falling. Also, you can’t miss the beautiful crescendo that neatly polishes everything off.
Connecting all the smooth instrumentals together are gripping lyrics, which are about living life to the fullest and filling your days with love and adventure. As the song repeats, “nobody knows where we go where we die.”
