Now that I'm back on the music grind, I have stumbled upon so many gems that I admit, I'm late on, but my laziness doesn't make the music any less good.
Take for instance, "Disco Kitchen," the leading tracking off of Gardens & Villa's fourth and most recent album, Gordon Von Zilla Presents. The Los Angeles-based quartet released this project in August of 2020.
I simply cannot get enough of this song. I've had it on repeat this entire week and kick myself for not finding it sooner. The burst of serotonin and euphoria I get while listening to this scrumptious, musical cocktail is a rare find (and I listen to way too much music). Between the twinkly, synth notes and addictive drum patterns, I'm simply in heaven. I mean look at the chorus' lyrics:
"Keeps the stove cooking, stir these bones up
Disco kitchen, all the night long
Dancing with my queen, with no shoes on
Disco kitchen, while we feel young"
