Why do we like this?
Gap Dream is the garage pop project from musician Gabriel Fulvimar. I've been tracking his music ever since I heard his self-titled record a year or two back. Now he's recently hooked up with Burger Records and has become an integral part of their music output. Sometimes you just know someone fits in, and for Gabriel, it seemed like a no-brainer.
His record Shine Your Light just got released, and Burger Records is promoting it as one of their big albums of the year. It definitely has a much broader sound and more casual listener appeal than other Gap Dream records, which sometimes work and sometimes fall a little flat. This single, "Chill Spot," is one track that hits the mark just right. It's a perfect mix of catchy lines and rhythms and the classic Burger Records garage sound.
