Why do we like this?
From a young kid with a dream and a mop to a self-made, country-wide-touring, bonafide figure in contemporary hip-hop. These things happen. Yes, they do, and this thoughtful phrase also happens to be the title of G-Eazy's upcoming album, one in which the slick-haired, decked out in all black artist looks to show the industry what he's truly made of.
As the talented Mr. Eazy has tended to do in the past, he's provided a new track at no cost other than our time. "Sleepless," produced by Blackbear (who has worked with likes of T-Mills and MGK), delivers a wavy beat. A delicate hook from Nylo, a Chicago-based female vocalist , is silky smooth and prototypical chorus-work for G-Eazy tracks. The man himself provides the introspective mindset of a work-hard, play-hard rapper through some dope verses, per usual.
Lucky for us, there are two more freebies as part of the B-sides, which will release today as a lead-up to The Things Happen. Look out for those here.
