It seems like just yesterday that Futurecop! released their newest full-length; that's probably because it just came out a few months ago. While that would lead to an absence of new tunes for most artists, that's definitely not the case for the Manchester duo, who have taken it upon themselves to continue to put out good music. Exhaustion from completing a full album be damned.
Their new track released on their SoundCloud is appealing for lots of reasons, the first being the album art. If Lionel of Thundercats wielding his sword isn't enough to get you to listen to a new song, then I don't know what will.
Album art aside, "Schizoid Man" is a pulsating track filled with equal parts nostalgia and modern dance floor rhythms. Fellow synth-poppers New Arcades help out with some pop-punk inspired vocals (think Something Corporate) as synthesizers bleep over driving bass and the thump of the kick drum.
Upholding justice, truth, honor, and making great music. Thunder Cats hooooooooooooooo!
