Why do we like this?
FUNKTIONSLUST (or FKL for short) is a duo out of London that are also Goldsmiths attendees, like many successful, groundbreaking artists such as The xx and James Blake. Just releasing their second single, FKL is coming on hard with perspective and originality.
"Dots" is an eerie, slowly moving tune, subtlety oozing at each turn. Layers of seemingly haphazard notes swirl together creating a futuristic, symphonic beat. Male and female vocals play together with the echoing percussion, creating a tragic, synthy, experimental song.
