Friendzone is comprised of Dylan Reznick and James Laurence, two Bay area cats producing awesome hip-hop breaks, most notably providing A$AP Rocky with the beat for his excellent "Fashion Killa."
Gearing up for the release of their instrumental album, DX, "Poly" is the duo's first official single, a chopped and screwed cocktail of seismic snares, rhythmic synths and altered vocal samples. There's a sense of familiarity to their production, but it's the seamless meshing of electronic and hip-hop influences that help define Friendzone's unique San Francisco sound.
