When writing about music, I resist the temptation to define a song as "simply beautiful." In the case of these five tracks, however, I can't think of a a more concise description.
Each song exists between ambient, electronic chill and soul-stirring melodic pop, with its own story to tell. Collectively, you're taken on a powerful, ethereal journey. A human presence retains its place, sometimes face to face, sometimes wavering in the memory; regardless, it only benefits the intangible air.
After listening to these five songs, you'll feel a sense of desire, sadness, helplessness, power. Hopefully this will make you feel like you just had an insanely beautiful dream.
