Why do we like this?

Prior to hearing this song, if you were to ask me to "classify" Freedom Fry, I'd have lumped them into a sound not unlike The Lumineers.

This new single "The Words" puts a bit of a spin on that though. In fact, it sounds more like one of my favorite bands (Starfucker) than it does a folk-pop ballad.

Ultimately, that difference is probably the reason I'm blogging this one -- because it caught me off guard :)
