While grime is currently dominating the UK hip-hop scene, Manchester trio Free Wize Men are showing another side to the burgeoning rap scene with single "Is Ya With Me."
Taking cues from guitar heroes Santana and Jimi Hendrix and current rap innovators Kendrick Lamar and Odd Future, MCs Afro Sam and Kay Bey, plus multi-instrumentalist and producer Blind MIC have delivered a feel good tune that will have you bopping along from the first note.
The jazzy electronic production gives it a real old school feel, while the incorporation of live guitar and bass adds an element of authenticity. And let's not forget the flute sample that's reminiscent of John Murphy's "The Mad Flute" (as heard in the classic Snatch).
Free Wize Men have delivered a sure-fire party starter and should be on everyone's radar with the releases of their upcoming debut EP Free Wisdom.
