Why do we like this?
Free Energy last made an appearance on Indie Shuffle with the single "Girls Want Rock." Since then, their album, Love Sign, was released on January 15, 2013. I have been playing that on repeat lately, but I was for hoping for some new music from the band. Well, I got lucky, because they're releasing a special 7" for Record Store Day on April 20, 2013.
It features "Girls Want Rock" as the A-side, and the B-side is a new unreleased song called "Wild Life." "Wild Life" is a indie rock track featuring bouncing guitar rifts and solid drum work. Lyrically, it's a simple concept: living life on the wild side. There are only 500 copies being pressed around the country, so go to your local record store if you want a physical copy.
