Why do we like this?

Frank Ocean had without a doubt one of the most successful album releases of 2012. And clearly Pitchfork took this to heart, because he appears 3 times in their top 100 tracks (#2, #11 and #31). Popular dude, right?

All that said, we're not planning to include him on any of our best of 2012 lists. That's mostly because there just wasn't a good fit given the categories we were tackling.

So, just try and save a bit of face (and given that today we've posted two indie-rock-centric best of lists), I thought I'd feature "Thinking About You" as Song of the Day.
