UK producer/DJ James Eden, more appropriately known as Jamrock, has been hitting the music blog scene for some time now with support from Mad Decent, Earmilk and Generation Bass among others, and from what I can tell through his archive of diverse sounds, the attention is well deserved.
Browsing through his tracks I came across one remix of Frank Ocean's "Novacane" which caught my attention as soon as I pressed play. It's clear that these two tracks are different in pace and aesthetic, under which Jamrock explores the possibilities of new sounds and beat progressions, but it's not a deal breaker in my opinion. Once you get passed the fact that he's taking things up a notch, you can start to feel as though you are being magically transported to some sweaty dance club in the Caribbean -- with moombahton influence permeating through your ears -- only to suddenly be taken back to SoCal soaking up the sun, cold beer and blunt in hand.
Peep the track and let that "Novacane" take you to a place where you can't feel your face.
