Why do we like this?
Leeds duo Fossil Collective are back with the brand new single "The Water," taken from their upcoming EP of the same name. These guys were possibly one of my favorite folk acts of last year, bringing us the beautifully crafted debut album Tell Where I Lie, and it looks like they weren't finished there.
I believe there aren't a lot of variations on the folk genre today, but Fossil Collective just so happens to be one of the more influential acts out there. They have a such a rich and lush sound that's dripping in beautifully crafted atmospherics. Vocally they cannot be faulted; their harmonies lend themselves perfectly to the folk genre.
