The pair have unveiled their new single "501's", a taster of what to look forward to in 2017. The track opens with a woozy, syncopated rhythm, before the seductive, smooth vocals take us to the kind of place that Anderson Paak, BJ the Chicago Kid and Silentjay x Jace XL have kept warm over the past few months.
The blend of those seductive R&B vocals and the bright electronic production, complete with spacey synth trickles and delicate vocal harmonies, evokes the kind of atmosphere that practically forces your hips to move.
This isn't Fortunes' debut release; they have two independent EP's, Hoodie and Jacket, and have already drawn enough attention to themselves to score opening slots for artists including Shlohmo, Oddisee and JMSN.
