A new city, a new line up, and a new sound define the debut of Forever Honey, a Brooklyn-based band of four. In "Christian," their first-ever single, Liv Price's voice is bold and takes risks and in a way that it never did in her previous project, Queue. Aida Mekonnen (guitar, vocals) and Steve Vannelli (drums) were also part of the former DC-based band, but they both bring new life to this tune full of strong guitar hooks and rhythmic urgency. Jack McLoughlin (bass) is the new hire, adding a growling, lively bass to this '80s-inspired track.
Inspired by their move and new experiences, these musicians have grown up and into their potential -- and I can't wait to hear more. Forever Honey's debut EP, Pre-Mortem High, will come out on April 24, 2020.
