Why do we like this?

It's been nearly 7 years since Kurt Vile won me over with "Pretty Pimpin'." Heck, I'd kinda forgotten about the song until Forest Ray came along and brought it back to the forefront.

The Seattle-based band's latest single "Always" blends smooth psychedelic folk, slide guitars, and an easy-going vocal delivery together to pull off a lovely little indie rock track that I reckon is worthy of a listen or three.

The band are gearing up to go on tour early this year (2022). I don't think I've written anything along those lines since uh... 2019. But yeah, I figured it was worth mentioning because it feels great to see bands getting back on the road. Hopefully they enjoy themselves :)
