Scandinavian-based duo Flora Cash keep delivering the goods with latest release "California," another stellar tune.
Taken from their forthcoming album, Nothing Lasts Forever (And It’s Fine), set for release April 21st, "California" is another brooding folk-inspired number making use of the couple's sobering harmonies.
The acoustic strumming of the guitar provides the backbone to the track, with Shpresa Lleshaj's Lana Del Rey-esque drawing you in before Cole Randal's understated croon give "Californian" yet another dimension.
On the track itself, the duo describe “California" as "a longing to be free; even when the prospect of achieving that freedom, is itself daunting."
"California" is a gorgeous and enthralling tune that is the perfect road trip soundtrack, and I can't wait to hear their album once it's released.
