Flaws All We Are

Flaws is a musical project by Daan Havenith, based out of the Netherlands. With only a couple of singles and remixes currently out, Havenith is the true definition of an up-and-coming artist, gearing up to release his debut EP in mid May.

Lush layers of acoustic guitar, hard-hitting beats, and a hushed whispery vocal create what the artist himself might call a “heartfelt, thought-provoking atmosphere” that somehow feels both organic and mechanical at the same time. It feels like grass rustling in the wind and leaves crunching under your shoes, sea wind on rocky seashore, or maybe a white wintery country road that stretches into the horizon. It’s a dreamy, ambient soundscape that ends too soon and has me pressing play over and over.

There are so many complex layers to the song that only start to reveal themselves after repeated listens. You'll really just have to listen to the song and get lost in it yourself, as it manages to defy genre labels and it’s hard to explain exactly what kind of music this is.

Flaws is set to release his debut EP, Lost In Thought on May 18th on Bitbird. Until then, open the windows, put on “All We Are” on a loop, and let the breeze hit your face. Trust me, it feels good getting lost in the atmosphere.
