Why do we like this?

Producers often cite J Dilla as an influence. That's understandable. What I'm impressed by is how a young producer like Flamingosis can pay homage to Jay Dee while carving out his own smooth-ass niche so effortlessly.

"Getting Close To You" puts a smile on my face. It's definitely going on the work commute playlist I should probably make right now. Flamingosis' beats are always solid, even if they're not going to appear on an EP anytime soon.
