Adelaide three-piece Flamingo caught our attention a few months back with their debut EP,Heavy Steps, a release that saw them draw a number of coveted support slots (Bonobo, Rufus, the Kite String Tangle). Rather than rest on their laurels, the guys have headed straight back into the studio to record a follow-up.
Before that drops, they've decided to give us another indication of their considerable talent with a new single (of sorts). Put together over the space of just one recording session, "Slow Burning" is a raw but gorgeous indie pop track bound to find its way right under your skin. Rather than spending months on production, this track really just concentrates on the band's strengths -- mellow arrangement and melting vocals. Also: free download alert!
Flamingo will be taking their new track on the road very shortly, appearing on the unbelievably stacked Red Bull Music Academy Stage at this year's Splendour in the Grass Festival.
