Adelaide three piece Flamingo return with the swirling new single "At Sea." Combining bubbling synths with gliding guitar riffs and frontman Kacee Heidt's effervescent vocals, "At Sea" is a track that stands head and shoulders above the majority of Australian electronic releases I've heard this year.
Enlisting Steven Schram (San Cisco, Powderfinger, The Waifs, Cat Empire) to help record, mix and add additional production, "At Sea" is beautiful and heartfelt song with a strong message to boot, as band member Oli Kirk states below:
"As a result, ‘At Sea’ is a very honest track which we all feel conveys our opinion on the national issue of asylum seekers. We hope ‘At Sea’ proves an empathetic point of view to the messaging currently which can hopefully evolve the national topic at least to a very small few."
The trio will be heading out on tour this August so be sure to catch them when they hit your city.
