There are parts about this song that I don't particularly enjoy: the progression is simple, the instrumentation gets a bit repetitive, and at times its quite gimmicky.
That said, the *melody* of this song is what gets me. It's not your traditional cookie-cutter pop sound; it does something a whole lot more unique. It's simultaneously sad and uplifting -- a quality that's hard to pull off in a daytime disco track.
