Why do we like this?
It's been a good month for Fierce Creatures. The septet released their first full-length album a few days ago via Paper Garden Records and the lead single, "Catacomb Party," is making waves on SoundCloud and some notable blogs. Having first emerged on the scene back in 2009, it's nice to see Fierce Creatures earning attention for their enchanting pop-rock creations.
Driven by classy guitar work and a beautifully chanted chorus, "Catacomb Party" accurately describes Fierce Creature's labyrinth-like sound. There are dark chambers as well as bright lights. The final product is soul-stirring and worthy of several listens.
Fierce Creatures has several upcoming shows in California, which are worth checking out if you happen to be around.
