Why do we like this?
Make room for Feeding People, a band of teenagers with tons of ambition and drive on a mission to floor you. As soon as I heard their new single, "Island Universe," I was hooked.
How could you not be intrigued when you hear the first few chords of this track? "Island Universe" is a downtempo track drenched in heavy psychedelic garage pop with a tinge of sweetness. There are some songs that can easily get away with a repetitive format without sounding boring or having a lack of creativity; this single is a prime example. It's simple, sure, but also incredibly infectious and original.
Feeding People is quickly being shot into the limelight, sharing the stage with Thom Yorke and Natural Child amongst other notable acts. They recently released their Island Universe 7" and are planning on releasing their full length album in 2013. Keep your eyes and ears peeled!
