Sounds like:
Youandewan,
Cutoff!Cutoff!
Why do we like this?
Back in 2002, FC Kahuna released an album by the title of Machine Says Yes that sold over 50,000 copies. One of the standout tracks from that album was "Hayling," a song reminiscent of Boards of Canada meeting Massive Attack. For Max Cooper, it was a standout track.
As posted on his Soundcloud yesterday, the song holds a lot of memories for him. And so, he remixed it, adding some glitchy drums, a crazy beat structure, and a long build-up.
Given that I'm a rabid Max Cooper fan (we've posted his music numerous times here), listening to this song was like magic to my ears. I had high expectations going into it, and fortunately was not let down. Hopefully you'll share that experience.
Max Cooper's remix of "Hayling" will be released on Skint records at some point...but unfortunately I can't find any detail on that.
