Hard to believe it's been more than a year since we first hyped Singapore artist Fauxe. In my write-up for the celestial "Thanks Ms Panda," I mention that Fauxe avoids labels in fear of being boxed in musically. This fact is strikingly clear when you compare Fauxe's debut EP with his newest release, & I Love You More With Every Word.
& I Love You More With Every Word is representative of Fauxe's musical ambition. He's an electronic producer who's continually branching out with his vocals and instrumentation. "The World Is Ours And Ours Alone" draws on elements of lo-fi and shoegaze to capture a moment of love and longing. When combined with Fauxe's hazy vocals and guitar play, the end result is something well worth repeating.
