Dutch producer Fatima Yamaha, real name Bas Bron, has followed quite an unusual career trajectory.
Although he's been producing under various aliases for almost fifteen years, he really came to wider prominence with last year's reissue of "What's a Girl to Do," a record originally released in 2004 which took a slow-burning route to prominence via pride of place in a number of Jackmaster sets.
Capitalizing on that success, Bron released the first Fatima Yamaha LP, Imaginary Lines in 2015, and he has now followed up with a new release on prestigious Amsterdam label Dekmantel.
The title track "Araya" is really something special -- an epic track which shows Bron seizing the opportunity the limelight has brought with both hands, and crafting something, dare we say it, at least the equal of "What's a Girl To Do". Grab yourself a copy via Beatport.
