You get a call to meet up with friends. It's just after sunset. You take the bus up to the top of a hill. You walk around a corner and see your friends hanging out outside a small garage. The dude with the pompadour is driving a 1976 powder blue Cadillac de Ville. You all get in and cruise down the hill and into the city.
After a smoke or two, the dude with the pompadour says he has a new tune he wants to show you. As soon as the percussion on "Ridin Round (Sky High)" begins shuffling its way up your spine, you feel you're in unfamiliar territory. When Fatima sings her first note, you look left out the rectangular window and realize the big bodied sedan is floating.
The ground is zooming away as each synth stab propells you further up. Either the swisher or the thinning atmosphere is making things a bit hazy. The last thing you hear is Fatima's stacked vocals before you pass out.
Yellow Memories is out May 12.
