With her latest single "Family," mindtravellin' expert and songstress supreme Fatima is nearing completion on her debut album. The London-based artist has been running with the Eglo Records crew since inception, and continually tours with her musical fam.
Produced by Flako, "Family" is a sweet ode to both given and found family. Flako's chimes and bells give the track a winter haze but the healthy kicks and neck-snapping drums provide that umph necessary at all times. Fatima's vocals are powerful and earnest as always, you can really hear joy in her voice. The video Fatima recently released is heartwarming.
Don't sleep on the rest of the single. "La Neta" hits close to home in title alone (ask your Mexican friends about that one) before Flako's irresistible beat comes in and Fatima takes it to an otherworldly discotheque. "Black Dough" is tailor-made club material.
